D&D Roofing and Sheet Metal Inc. of Sparks said last week it rehired 25 workers after it landed $1.81 million in roofing contracts.

Among the projects in Reno are roofing jobs at Echo Loder, Rita Cannan and Veteran’s elementary schools, the Vocational Rehabilitation office, the U.S. Citizenship Building and Wooster Brush.

Projects in Carson City include the Michael Hohl Honda and Subaru dealerships.

Elsewhere, the company landed projects at Gerlach High School, Rail City Casino in Sparks, the old high school and junior high in Fallon and Donne Truckee Vet Hospital and the Tahoe-Truckee School District in Truckee.
