Comstock Mining Inc. of Virginia City said last week it has completed construction of a $2.4 million expansion of its heap leach and process pond facilities near Virginia City.Cruz Construction of Mound House was the general contractor on the project. Other contractors included Mach 4 Construction LLC of Elko and Comanco Environmental Construction Co. of Reno.The work included expansion of an existing three-cell heap leach facility to five cells.Comstock said the expanded heap leach facility will handle ores produced from its Lucerne West Mine south of Virginia City. …
