Nature’s Bakery announces partnership with Feeding America

Nature’s Bakery announced the launch of a new partnership with Feeding America ‒ the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization ‒ Wednesday. As part of the Nature’s Bakery year-long “Baking it up a notch in the fight to end hunger” initiative, the on-the-go snacks and food brand will donate funds to help provide 1.65 million meals* for families struggling with hunger. The Reno-headquartered on-the-go snacks and food brand will supplement its financial donation with an additional 135,000 lbs. of Nature’s Bakery food product donated to select food banks in Feeding America’s nationwide network.
Nature’s Bakery and Feeding America have added new sections to their websites to help educate the public about families facing hunger in America and to highlight the need for action:
“In a country as blessed as the United States of America, no one should have to go to sleep hungry at night. We have a responsibility to do our part to achieve that goal,” said Nature’s Bakery founder Dave Marson. “Giving back and serving communities is in our DNA and now that we’ve had some success with our brand, we have an opportunity to help pay it forward by serving communities all across the country.”
Feeding America provides more than 4 billion meals in the United States every year through its nationwide network of 200 member food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. The hunger-relief organization also engages communities in the fight to end hunger by raising awareness across the country and leading the way in hunger research.

The Nature’s Bakery partnership with Feeding America will expand with additional activations announced throughout the next 12 months.

*$1 helps provide 11 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks. Nature’s Bakery guarantees a minimum of 1,650,000 meals to Feeding America and member food banks from June 1, 2017 to June 1, 2018.
