A memorial service for Helen McDonald, 85 a Carson City resident for more than 12 years, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church in Carson City.
Mrs. McDonald died Aug. 15, 2001 while on vacation in Las Vegas celebrating her 85th birthday. She was born Aug. 13, 1916.
Until her death Mrs. McDonald worked at Wendy's in Carson City, a job she really loved for 12 years. She also loved traveling and being with friends and family.
Among her survivors are her son John of California and daughter and son-in-law Jeanette and Richard Hopper of Carson City; grandchildren Travis, Treena and Trever and great-grandchildren Tyler and Tanner.
