The Tuesday meeting of the Carson City Republican Women's Club will feature a panel discussion on the upcoming Carson City School Bond question.
In November, voters will be asked to approve an $18 million bond that proponents say will allow a number of needed improvements to school facilities, including the repair of deteriorating roofs and other infrastructure, installation of a new phone system, air conditioning and lock system.
Moderated by Mary Burgoon, the panel will discuss the pros and cons of the tax proposal. Questions will be accepted from the floor.
The public is encouraged to attend, but reservations must be made prior to the meeting by calling 884-9200.
The Carson City Republican Women meet the third Tuesday of each month at the Carson Nugget. A social hour begins at 11 a.m., followed by a buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is $12 per person.
