Douglas Parks and Rec Department offers concealed weapon certification course

The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department will conduct a concealed weapon certification course Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The instructor will be Wynn Simon.

Those who successfully complete the course may qualify for concealed weapon carry permits. Individuals attending will be encouraged in the safe use of firearms as well as learning the parts and operation of both semi-automatic- and revolver-type firearms. The course will conclude with live shooting exercises on the range along with a state mandated qualification shoot and a written test.
