Obituary: Ardean Burgess White

A private memorial service for Ardean Burgess White, 54, a Carson City resident for the past 30 years, will be held Saturday.

Mrs. White died Oct. 28, 2000, at her home. She was born Sept. 28, 1946, in Sonora, Calif., to Arthur and Jean Blackburne Burgess.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Bijou, Calif.

Mrs. White had worked for the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, Research and Analysis Division for the State of Nevada since 1986. She was involved in numerous activities with the Carson City schools as a parent volunteer and served as a Girl Scout leader for more than 10 years.

Among her survivors are her husband Jerome of Carson City; daughters Jamie White of Portland, Ore., and Lavonia Gelardi and Ramona Blankenship, both of California and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
