Obituary: James P. Elbert

A memorial Mass for James P. Elbert, 48, a Carson City resident for the past 28 years, will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

A Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at Corpus Christi.

Mr. Elbert died Nov. 29, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Nov. 8, 1952, in San Jose, Calif., to Christopher and Eileen Williams Elbert.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in South Lake Tahoe.

Mr. Elbert was a computer systems analyst for the Nevada Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Ormsby Sportsmen Association and the Association for Advancement of Science and he was a Roman Catholic. He loved hunting, fishing, music and working with computers.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1999 and sister Lynda Coffer.

Among his survivors are his wife of 21 years Jackie of Carson City; mother Ellen of Dayton; daughters Jillian Cole, Barbara McGlade, Jessica Elbert and Jolynne Elbert, all of Carson City; brothers Jack of Klamath Falls, Ore. and Jerry of Oasis and one grandchild.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Nevada Diabetes Association, 1090 S. Rock Blvd., Reno 89502.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
