Obituary: Robert John Goldberg

A graveside service for Robert John Goldberg, 51, a Palm Springs resident, will be at noon Friday at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.

Mr. Goldberg died Aug. 28, 2000 at Riverside County Regional Medical Center. He was born July 18, 1949, in Los Angeles, to Jesse H. and Barbara J. Peterson.

He was a lifetime Southern California resident.

Mr. Goldberg was self-employed in the furniture business. He enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, boating and motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara in 1970, brother Stephen in 1997 and father Jesse in December 1999.

Among his survivors are his mom, Virginia of Gardnerville; daughter Allison of Los Angeles; brothers, Fred of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and James of Gardnerville; sisters Julie Ann Keeney of Dayton and Lee Reiner of Gardnerville and 11 nieces and nephews.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
