Clay Baty of Las Vegas has joined the race for Nevada's District 2 seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
He faces incumbent Jim Gibbons, who is seeking a third term in the House, and Tierney Cahill, a Reno elementary school teacher.
Baty, like Cahill, is a Democrat. Gibbons is Republican.
Baty is a 43-year resident of Nevada who has worked in the hotel-casino industry for 37 years. He ran unsuccessfully in 1998 against Shelley Berkley, the Democrat who holds the District 1 seat in the House.
