It's probably best to avoid College Parkway starting today through early next week.
A confusing mix of city and state freeway work will close different sections of College Parkway between Emerson Drive and Research Way through next week.
Today, Friday, Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. College Parkway will be closed from Emerson Drive to Hot Springs Road for Carson City utility work related to the freeway.
Traffic will be routed around Roop Street to Hot Springs Road back to College Parkway.
College Parkway between Hot Springs Road and Research Way will close for freeway drainage work over the weekend beginning Friday at 6 p.m. That section of road will reopen Monday at 6 a.m.
Traffic will be routed from Goni Road to Hot Springs Road back to College Parkway.
All businesses in the area will have access throughout the weekend construction.
Transportation officials continue to remind travelers to slow down through the construction area.
