A man found sleeping in his car was arrested after a search of his pickup and person revealed marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, reports indicate.
Officers first contacted Gerald Cummings, 36, while he was sleeping in a running pickup at 1:27 a.m. near Carson and Spear streets. When they asked his identity, he said said he was a felon and had been living out of his car for two weeks.
Once he was placed under arrest for failing to registering a change of address, Cummings' Ford truck was searched and officers reportedly found the drugs and paraphernalia.
Cummings was booked on two felony and three misdemeanor charges and held on $2,500 bail.
