Gaming and the Internet course offered at UNR

A course called "Utilizing the Internet as a Marketing Strategy for the Gaming Industry," will be offered by the University of Nevada, Reno.

It is designed to provide participants with a review of the basic components every Web site should have, how to get a better position for your company on search engines, what makes a good or bad Web site and to explore the many applications and capabilities that the Internet can provide for the gaming industry.

Participants will learn from the experts how to work with Web designers and vulnerabilities that should be considered. A survey of gaming and tourism applications including advertising, marketing, player tracking and on-line room reservations will be presented.

The course will be held May 23 at the university's Midby-Byron Center, Room 104. The course fee is $115 and the instructor is Carol Ranalli, owner of Write Image Productions.
