The High Desert Divers Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grandma Hattie's Restaurant.
Guest speaker is Howard Houghton, who will give a presentation of free diving for abalone off the California coast.
Houghton, an experienced abalone diver, will discuss California fishing rules and regulations applying to abalone hunting, the history and ecology of the abalone population off the Pacific Coast and how to prepare and cook abalone meat. The meeting is open to the public.
