The Mefiyi Foundation with Jojo and Suzi Townsell will again be offering Fitness and Sports Camps through Douglas County Parks and Recreation.
The camps emphasize the importance of fitness education through popular sporting activities. Participants in the camps will be introduced to aspects of conditioning, aerobic training and athletic development. Boys and girls will also have the opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills in the following sports: soccer, tennis, softball/baseball and football.
This is a great opportunity for all young athletes to learn the skills and discipline of fitness and sports from professional athlete JoJo Townsell, former NFL player with the New York Jets. Camps run Tuesday through Thursday. Participants may register for one day, two days or all three days of the camps.
Dates for upcoming sessions are May 9-11, May 16-18 and May 23-25.
Preregistration for the Fitness and Sports Camps is required. For information, contact the recreation department at 782-9828.
