A 32-year-old Carson City man, who admitted Monday that he molested a 13-year-old girl, could be sentenced to life imprisonment.
David A. Sedig, a salesman, was arrested in January after the girl told a middle school counselor that the abuse occurred over a three-year period. Sedig underwent mental health treatment after his arrest.
In exchange for his guilty plea to sexual assault, an enhancement for the girl's alleged age was dropped. He reportedly admitted the crimes during an interview with investigators.
Sentencing is set for July 10.
