D. Sue Fletcher, 60, a Carson City resident for the past 27 years, died May 7, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1939, in Portland, Ore., to L.E. and Iril Walton Casteel.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Amity, Ore.
Mrs. Fletcher was an MCST operator for the state of Nevada. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Amity. She enjoyed reading and she loved her animals and the beaches in Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon, in 1993.
Among her survivors are her daughters, Cynthia Dacha of Dayton and Debra Faust of Virginia City and aunt, Alice Olson.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue Foundation, 28 Hwy. 95A, Yerington 89447.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
