Obituary, Ethel "Babe" Liska

A memorial service for Ethel "Babe" Liska, 85, a Zephyr Heights resident for the past 21 years, will be at 6 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Liska died May 18, 2000, at her home at Lake Tahoe.

She was born April 8, 1915, in Alhambra, Calif., to William and Mayme Bittner Weaver.

After high school, she graduated from Woodbury Business College.

Before moving to Zephyr Heights, she lived in Arcadia, Calif. more than 32 years, moving from Temple City, Calif. where she lived for 10 years.

Mrs. Liska was an executive secretary for 65 years. She had been a member of Job's Daughters.

Among her survivors are her husband, George of Zephyr Heights; son, Russell of California; daughters, Patricia Murrell of California; grandchildren, Philip Erwin, John Liska, Julie Liska and Joi Liska, all of California and niece Barbara Bowie of California.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
