A memorial service for Frederick Walter Schreiber Jr., 29, a lifetime Gardnerville resident, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Carson Valley Community Church in Minden with Pastor Joel Berger presiding.
Mr. Schreiber died May 6. He was born Jan. 14, 1971, in Carson City, to Frederick W. Sr. and Delores L. Overturf Schreiber.
Mr. Schreiber was a youth counselor at Camp May'mac in California for five years and at Hume Lake in California for five years. He was an AWANA leader at Carson Valley Community Church. He was a Christian and a member of the Carson Valley Community Church.
Among his survivors are his grandfather, Vernon VanMeir of Bakersfield, Calif.; father of Carson City; mother of Gardnerville; brothers, Frank W. and John F., both of Carson City and sister, Desiree L. Constable of Gardnerville.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
