A memorial service for Katherine Joy Moede, 48, a lifetime Silver Springs and Carson City resident, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Stewart Baptist Church.
Mrs. Moede died Jan. 16, 2000, at her residence. She was born May 27, 1951, in Carson City, to Burton and Pearl Talas Wungnema.
Mrs. Moede was a housewife.
Among her survivors are her mother, Pearl McQueen of Carson City; sons David Mahe of Reno and Scott Mahe of Sparks; brothers Virgil Talas of Florida and Vernon Wungnema and Harry McQueen, both of Carson City; sisters Sylvia McQueen and Verna Wungnema, both of Carson City, and Walene Allen of North Carolina and two grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
