Obituary, Marilyn Lois Hawley

A funeral service for Marilyn Lois Hawley, 67, a Carson City resident since 1978, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1837 N. Mountain St. in Carson City.

Mrs. Hawley died May 13, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born July 27, 1932, in Chicago, Ill., to Alfred Paradise and Alma Schultz.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Chicago. She was an accountant in the insurance industry.

Mrs. Hawley did volunteer work at the Carson City Senior Center since 1993 and she was named senior of the week in 1998. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, cooking, gardening and being a homemaker.

Mrs. Hawley was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and her religious affiliation was Missouri Synod Lutheran.

She was a past member of the Sagebrush Chapter of Model "A" Ford Club in Carson City.

Among her survivors are her husband, H. Bentley Hawley of Carson City; a sister, Elaine Gawlick of Chicago; and a brother, Raymond Wehrmeister of Palatine, Ill.

Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington, Ill.
