Obituary: Orval C. "Bill" Williams

Entombment for Orval C. "Bill" Williams, 89, a Carson City for 21 years, will be at 1 p.m. today at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Williams died January 14, 2000 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

He was born in Oklahoma on Sept. 13, 1910, to Thomas and Lettie Carver Williams.

He and his wife, Sylvia, moved to Carson City from South Lake Tahoe.

Mr. Williams was a chef.

He was preceded in death by brothers Marion, Brian and Jesse Williams; sisters Alma Vesta and Lettie May, and one great-grandchild.

Among his survivors are his wife Sylvia, of Carson City; sons Stan, of Carson City, and Orval E., of Greeley, Colo.; sister Batricae Wewalt, of Bakersfield, Calif.; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
