Obituary: Violette P. Keeler

A Mass for Violette P. Keeler, 78, a Carson City resident for the past eight years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home with a Rosary to be held at 7 p.m. at FitzHenry's.

Mrs. Keeler died Jan. 23, 2000, at Carson Healthcare Center. She was born Dec. 2, 1921, in Grand Marais, Minn., to Charles and Carrie Drouillard Perrault.

She attended high school in Grand Marais and Haskill Secretary School in Lawrence, Kan.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Ogden, Utah.

She married William H. Keeler Dec. 20, 1945, at St. Gabriels Church in Washington, D.C. In December, they celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Mrs. Keeler was a secretary for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C. and secretary for the Dean of Men at the University of Cincinnati. She enjoyed playing bridge. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Carson City.

Among her survivors are her husband, William, of Carson City; sons, Timothy Keeler and Patrick Keeler, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; daughter, Ginnette Sanderson, of Anaheim, Calif.; brothers, Lloyd and Roger Paro, both of Duluth, Minn.; sister, Irene Sullivan, of Gaithersburg, Md.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
