Obituary: Woodrow Wilson Miller

A funeral for Woodrow Wilson Miller, 86, a Carson City resident for the past 30 years, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Masonic Cemetery Chapel in Reno.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Miller died April 3, 2000, in Carson City. He was born Nov. 13, 1913, in Wayland, Iowa, to Peter Raber and Elizabeth Rich Miller.

Mr. Miller worked in manufacturing until his retirement in 1974. He was vice president, general manager and part owner of Richdel Inc. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, a current member of Carson Lodge No. 1 and Carson York Rite. He was a past High Priest of Royal Arch Masons, Unity Chapter 116, Glendale, Calif. a past commander Knights Templar, Commandry 53, Glendale, past Toparch of Sciots, Pyramid 39, Glendale and a member of Kerek Temple Shrine, Reno. He was an Elder and a Deacon in the Presbyterian Church in Carson City.

Among his survivors are his wife, Winona "Micky" McGuire Miller and son, Larry, both of Carson City; daughter, Sheryl Lyons, of Woodfords, Calif. nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Internment will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Reno.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
