Scholarship to be awarded to Reitnauer

Carson High School senior Erin Reitnauer will receive a $1,000 scholarship from the capital branch of the American Association of University Women tonight.

Association president Jeanne Mascsak said Reitnauer will be attending the University of Nevada, Reno.

"She works two part-time jobs, attends college part-time and is a full-time high school student," Mascsak said.

The association picks its scholarship winners based on applications submitted through the high school.

"A committee reviews all the applications and picks someone based on need," she said.

State association president Flo Bedrosian will be there to help install the Carson branch's new officers.

Mascsak is the new president; Paula Winne and Nora McGinley are vice presidents of programs; Jo Greenslat is vice president of membership; Zee McClintock is treasurer and Mosey Covington returns as secretary.

The dinner is 6:30 p.m. at the Pinon Plaza. For reservations call Mascsak by 11 a.m. at 884-3261 for reservations.

There are 35 members in the capital branch.

"We are always looking for new members," Mascsak said.
