A defendant who failed to show for a December 1998 sexual assault trial pleaded guilty to a lesser crime Monday in exchange for other charges being dropped.
Prosecutors dropped three charges of drug possession and one charge of failing to appear against Timothy Keeler in exchange for the guilty plea to attempted sexual assault.
He will serve at least two and as many as 20 years prison. Sentencing was set for July 10.
