The Douglas County Sheriff's Department is hosting an open house at the Judicial and Law Enforcement Building between 5 and 8 p.m. Wednesday. The office is located at 1625 Eighth St., Minden, near the intersection of U.S. 395 and Buckeye Road.
Sheriff Ron Pierini has promoted and organized this open house in conjunction with National Law Enforcement Week. The entire building will be open including the sheriff's offices, district attorneys' office, district and justice courts and juvenile probation department. There will be demonstrations and presentations and county personnel will be available to answer questions.
