Reward offered for arrest and conviction of tagger

Landmark Homes and Development is offering $2,500 for the arrest and conviction of whoever painted graffiti on the concrete block wall at the corner of Fairview and Solomon.

The wall which surrounds Heritage Park was hit twice by taggers Ñ once over the weekend and the second time Monday evening, said Don Keith of Landmark Homes and Development.

"It affects our business and every business in the community," he said. "This is a lot of wall space so we want to get it nipped pretty early."

Mark Buckingham, warranty manager for the company, said they have had problems with some of their other properties before, but never this one.

It costs the company $1,200 to remove the graffiti.

"That's part of the reason it's viewed as such a serious problem, not only monetarily but aesthetically," Buckingham said.
