Obituary- Dee Hammond Haney

A graveside service for Dee Hammond Haney, 89, a Carson City resident, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood, Calif.

Mr. Haney died Sept. 3, 2001, at Manor Care Health Services in Reno. He was born Feb. 28, 1912, to Michael and Stella Brown Haney.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Hollywood.

Mr. Haney worked as a sign writer and commercial artist for the motion picture industry for many years in Hollywood. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, North Hollywood. He was an avid train collector.

Among his survivors are his wife Dorothy Burnett of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Deeann and Jim Trisler of Reno; grandchild Carey Trisler of Reno; brother Morgan of Lone Pine, Calif., and sister Mary Lou Sinkard of Sacramento.

Walton Funeral Home, Reno is in charge of arrangements.
