David C. Wayland, 71, a Carson City resident for the past four years, died Sept. 17, 2001, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born March 2, 1930, in California to Clarke and Adele Cauillaud Wayland.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Marin County, Calif.
He married Kay Huffaker Dec. 26, 1958, in Los Angeles.
Mr. Wayland worked in advertising. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association.
Among his survivors are his wife Kay, of Carson City; his 94-year-old mother-in-law Clarice Huffaker; sons and daughters-in-law Jeffrey and Julie Wayland of Corte Madera, Calif., and Scott and Jodi Wayland of Tehachapi, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Susan K. and Hugh Alberson of Petaluma, Calif., and daughter Wendy Diane Wayland of Rancho Viejo, Calif., and grandchildren Clinton Wayland and Jack Sinnott, both of Rancho Viejo, Calif., and Nicholas and Zachery Alberson and Jennifer Bull, all of Petaluma, Calif.
A private family service will be at a later date.
