A memorial service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church for Kathleen Grace Newcomb, 74, who died Sept. 19, 2001, at Carson Health Care.
She was born Sept. 26, 1926 , in Chapman Quarries, Pa., to CLyde and Sarah Roberts. She had been a Carson City resident since 1974, coming from Minneapolis, Kan.
Mrs. Newcomb was a registered nurse for 40 years. She worked at Carson-Tahoe Hospital for 10 years before she retired.
Her husband, Russell "Tiny" Newcomb, died in 1994.
Mrs. Newcomb was a member of the FIrst United Methodist Church in Carson City. She also liked religious music.
She is survived by her sons Kerry Newcomb of Carson City and Greg Newcomb of Reno; daughters Kathy Sager and Kay Newcomb, both of Carson City; brother Clyde Roberts Jr. of Chapman Quarries, Pa. , sister Isobel Krenicky of Bethlehem, Pa. and four grandchildren.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, 2181 Roop St., Carson City, was in charge of arrangements.
