Salsa Y Salsas! festival rescheduled

Nevada Hispanic Services has rescheduled Salsa Y Salsas! for Sunday Oct. 14 on the Legislative Mall.

Ballet Folklorico International, award winning Peruvian poet Roy Chavez, pi-ata making, flower making and more will appear. There will be a salsa tasting competition and a salsa dance competition.

The Salsa Y Salsas! Festival will be at 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Legislative Mall between the Capitol and the Legislature. It is sponsored by Nevada Hispanic Services.

Salsa Y Salsas! will provide space for food vendors and craft exhibits as well as nonprofit and community organizations. The Festival can provide a bridge for agencies to directly contact and inform Hispanic families and individuals about their services.

Salsa Y Salsas! is staged by Nevada Hispanic Service of Carson City, a community outreach agency. Nevada Hispanic Services serves the expanding Hispanic population in the greater Carson City area with job referral and placement, education and housing referrals, access to health care and other social services.
