College begins summer registration

New students at Western Nevada Community College can begin registering for summer school in Carson City on Wednesday and Thursday.

Monday and today, continuing students were allowed to sign up for the more than 135 summer school classes being offered.

Students who miss their start time may register at any time afterward. Open registration will continue from Friday through June 10.

Academic credit classes and non-credit classes are available at the Carson, Douglas and Fallon campuses. English classes are being offered in Fernley, Hawthorne, Smith Valley and Yerington. In addition, several online classes are available this summer.

Students can pick up a summer schedule at all Western Nevada campuses and teaching centers and at most public libraries in the service area. Available classes are also listed on the Web site.

Students can register by Touch-Tone Telephone or on the Internet. The TTTR phone numbers are 887-3130 for Carson City area callers and 1-800-748-5690 for toll free long distance.
