Obituary: Sonny Bluesky Ott

A funeral for Sonny Bluesky Ott, 14, a recent Silver Springs resident, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.

Sonny died Aug. 3, 2002, at the South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington. He was born Feb. 20, 1988, in Lodi, Calif., to Dean and Patty Ott.

Before moving to Silver Springs, he lived in Madera, Calif.

Sonny finished seventh grade at Thomas Jefferson Middle School. He was very involved in 4-H, raising steers and lambs and winning many awards. He loved to ride and enjoyed being a cowboy. He was also a member of the American Junior Paint Horse Association, American Junior Quarter Horse Association and the National Junior Angus Association.

Among his survivors are his parents; brother Dallas and sister Casey; grandparents Gloria and Dale Schuetts of Silver Springs; aunt and uncle Venice and Kenny Boone of Harold, Calif., and four nephews.

Cremation with inurnment will follow the service.

Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
