Obituary: Antonietta 'Toni' Peri

Memorial Mass will be said for Antonietta "Toni" Peri, a 54-year resident of Carson City, at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mrs. Peri died Aug. 22, 2002, at home. She was 80. She was born Dec. 14, 1921, in Naples, Italy, to Domenico and Maria Panozza Castiglia.

Prior to living in Carson City, she lived in Naples.

She met her husband Victor while he was stationed in Italy during WWII. The pair were married in Carson City in October 1948 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mrs. Peri worked for the Carson City Cooperative Extension Office, the Carson City Sheriff's Department, the Carson City School District and retired in 1983 from the Carson City Recreation Department.

She enjoyed cooking, traveling and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969 and an infant daughter in 1950.

Among her survivors are a son and daughter-in-law Larry and Deanne Peri of Carson City; two grandchildren Mckenna and Lydia Peri; a daughter, Linda Peri of Carson City; and a sister Lena Capuano of Naples; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Inurnment will follow Mass at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
