Obituary: John D. Tobin

A private memorial service will be held for John D. Tobin, 63, a Minden resident for the past nine years.

Mr. Tobin died Aug. 27, 2002, at Tahoe Pacific Hospital in Sparks. He was born Dec. 28, 1938, in Rochester, N.Y., to Joseph and Marjorie Smith Tobin.

Before moving to Minden, he lived in Pleasanton, Calif., for 20 years.

Mr. Tobin was a distribution manager for an electronics firm. He was a member of St. Gall Catholic Community.

Among his survivors are two sons, two daughters, three sisters, three brothers and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation.
