A celebration of life for William A. Larsen, 89, a Minden resident for the past 12 years, will be at 5 p.m. Monday at the family residence. Call 267-4028.
Mr. Larsen died Aug. 28, 2002, at his home. He was born June 12, 1913, in Chicago, Ill.
Before moving to Minden, he lived in San Rafael, Calif.
Mr. Larsen was a retired plumbing contractor in Marin County, Calif. He was very active in environmental groups, including the Reno Tur-Toise Club. He was an avid skier and sportsman and he loved to fish, hike, camp and sail. He was a pilot
He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by a twin brother and a sister.
Among his survivors are his wife Karen of Minden; sons John of Hawaii and Ron of Oregon; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
