A service for Laurel M. Johnson, 49, a Las Vegas resident for the past two years, was held Nov. 20 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A reception will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 14 at 4351 Levi Gulch, Carson City. Call 883-6150 for directions.
Mrs. Johnson died Nov. 17 , 2002, in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 13, 1953, in Long Beach, Calif., to William and Lorraine Johnson.
She attended Brigham Young University and Reno Business College.
Before moving to Las Vegas she lived in Carson City.
Mrs. Johnson was a legal secretary. She enjoyed camping, hiking and riding her bike. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed being with family and friends. She was a member of the Hillpointe Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Las Vegas.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Among her survivors are: son and daughter-in-law Eric and Kelly Engels and grandson Brandon, all of Carson City; son Scott McRae of Las Vegas; father and stepmother Bill and Ann Johnson and brothers Randal, Jay, Byran and Dean.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Nevada.
Palm Mortuary of Las Vegas was in charge of arrangements.
