News of the 19th last says that under new appointments, it is related by what appears to be excellent authority that with very few exceptions, the incoming state boards will employ the same servants now engaged. A change in the prison is possible, but otherwise, from superintendent of the Orphans' Home to the governor's private secretary and watchman, it is said the present incumbents will remain.

Born -- in Carson at 1:10 a.m. Dec. 24, to Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Cunningham of Topaz, a son, 7 pounds. The mother and son are at May Noonan's.
