A memorial service for Doreen I. Seeman Staricha, 69, a lifetime Gardnerville resident, will be at 10 a.m. Jan. 2 at Walton's Douglas County Mortuary.
Mrs. Staricha died Dec. 21, 2002, at her home. She was born Jan. 29, 1933, in Gardnerville to Henry and Edith Bull Seeman.
She was a secretary for several years, including for the College of Agriculture at the University of Nevada, Reno. She was the caretaker of her sister, Jessie Seeman, who died March 5, 2002.
She loved animals, especially her dog, Moola.
Among her survivors are her brothers Dean E. Seeman and Harley Seeman, both of Minden.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
