Sandra Jean Powell, 52, a Carson City resident for the past 12 years, died Dec. 23, 2002, at her home. She was born Nov. 17, 1950, in Turlock, Calif., to Oliver D. and Charlotte Irelan.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Granada Hills, Calif.
She was a cashier at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carson City.
Among her survivors are her mother and stepfather Charlotte and Donald Conyers of Carson City; sisters Sharon Powell of Carson City and Denise Becker Latta of Warren, Mich.; brother, Steve of Carson City; and numerous relatives in Turlock and Stevenson, Calif.
A private inurnment service will be held.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
