Obituary: Paul K. Cartier

Inurnment for Paul K. Cartier, Jr., 84, a Topaz Ranch Estates resident for the past nine years, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Eastside Memorial Park.

Mr. Cartier died Jan. 1, 2002, at his home while holding his wife's hand. He was born Dec. 27, 1917, in Hamilton, Ohio, to Paul K. Sr. and LaVerne Kretzinger Cartier.

He received an accounting degree from the University of Cincinnati.

Before moving to Wellington, he lived in California for many years.

Mr. Cartier was an accountant and controller for Dupont, he was a small business owner and a real estate agent and he retired in 1982.

He and his wife traveled the United States extensively for eight years. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, gardening and his grandchildren. He was a Mason, Shriner, a member of the Eastern Star and the National Association of Cost Accountants. He was a Methodist.

Among his survivors are his wife Etelka; children Nancy Duke and Paul III; stepchildren Linda Ingram, John Sullivan and Jackie Goodson and grandchildren Raymond, Megan, and Hunter Duke.
