Obituary: Hugh Keith Hardy

A memorial service for Hugh Keith Hardy, 83, a Carson City resident for the past nine years, will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Mr. Hardy died July 13, 2002, at his home. He was born Nov. 23, 1918, in Centralia, Ill., to Manley and Olive Frazier Hardy.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Pollock Pines, Calif.

Mr. Hardy was a store manager for State of Washington liquor sales. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, a Lutheran and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran.

He was preceded in death by brother Gene Alfred, sister Madge Reichman and son Ron.

Among his survivors are his wife Viola of Carson City; son Richard of Vancouver, Wash.; daughters Marjorie Nobriga of Manteca, Calif. and Evelyn Husky of Estacata, Ore. and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
