A celebration of life for J. Lance O'Banion, 50, a Wellington resident, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Smith Valley Community United Methodist Church, 44 Rivers Road, Smith Valley.
Mr. O'Banion died June 3, 2002, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
Among his survivors are Karen Fleishhacker and Cindi Pack; children Timothy, Kimberly and Todd O'Banion and Tamara Fleishhacker; parents Carol and Louie Cote of Fallon and James and Carole O'Banion of Smith Valley; grandmother Helen "Nana" Johnson of Fallon; brother and sister-in-law Scott and Josie O'Banion of Reno and several aunts, uncles and cousins and two nieces.
In lieu of flowers, people are asked to do something nice for someone else.
The Gardens Funeral Home in Fallon is in charge of arrangements.
