Edith G. Hammons, 86, a Wabuska resident, died Jan. 29, 2002, at Carson Convalescent Hospital in Carson City. She was born May 27, 1915, in Sandusky, Ohio, to Adelbert and Gertrude Duden Sharpe.
She spent her early life in Ohio, lived in San Jose, Calif., from 1960-1980 and Topaz Ranch Estates in Wellington from 1980-1999.
She married Earvin Hammons. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Mrs. Hammons was a charge nurse, working in nursing homes. She was a Lutheran.
Among her survivors are her sons Monte of California and Terry of Ohio; daughters Donna Pellissier of Fall City, Ore. and Linda Miller of Wabuska; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
