Obituary W.M. Ron Brooks

Graveside services will be at 12:15 p.m. Monday for W.M. Ron Brooks, 57, a 21-year resident of Carson City.

Mr. Brooks died March 10, 2002, at home. He was born Jan 23, 1945, in San Bernardino, Calif. to Winford Roser and Lillian Braun Brooks.

Mr. Brooks married Maggie MacDonald on July 3, 1983 in Carson City.

He lived in Barstow before moving to Carson City.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, water sports and riding motorcycles. He restored and built custom motorcycles. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Capital City Trap Club serving as the club's groundskeeper in charge of beautification of the grounds.

He was a plumber by trade and served as a sergeant for the National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

His hunting dog, Bruno, died March 11, 2002.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter Heather MacDonald both of Carson City; sisters Norma Zualet of Barstow, Calif., Joyce Richter of Desert Springs, Calif., and Maryjane Marlin of Texas; and granddaughter Danica Stratton of Carson City.

Services will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Henderson officiating.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial society is in charge of arrangements.
