A $6 million project designed to provide

spaces for start-up businesses will be

completed in the South Meadows area of

Reno late next spring.

The Double Diamond Commercial

Center at Double R Boulevard and

Trademark Drive will include 140,000

square feet in three concrete-and-steel

buildings.

Don Wilkerson of Gaston &

Wilkerson Management Group in Reno

is handling sales and leasing.

Individual spaces in the Double

Diamond Commercial Center will average

about 5,000 square feet.

A spokeswoman for Blakely Johnson

& Ghusn Inc. Engineering and

Architecture said each space will have a

clear height of at least 18 feet, a storefront

entrance and a drive-in door for shipping

and receiving.

Blakely Johnson & Ghusn designed

the project.

The floor plan is free of columns to

allow flexible use, the spokeswoman said,

and each space includes an office.

Exterior signage will be supported on a

metal mesh.

The project is targeted as "incubator"

space for small companies, and the developers

believe most of the demand will

come from warehousing or light manufacturing

companies.
