Copeland land bought

Tum-A-Lum Lumber completed its

three-year old acquisition of Copeland

Lumber with the purchase of the lumberyard's

building and land in Carson City

this month.

Tum-A-Lum plans to continue to use the

Copeland Lumber name for at least another

year, said James Crawford, president of the

Bend, Ore.-based lumber company. The

company initially bought Copeland's inventory

about three years ago.

Tum-A-Lum, a privately-held company,

was established in 1906 and operates in

Washington, Oregon, and California. The

Carson City Copeland yard is the

company's only Nevada location but

Crawford said Tum-A-Lum plans to

expand here. "Nevada," said Crawford,

"will have great growth for us."
