John R. Garrettson Sr., 81, a Carson City resident for the past 10 years, died Oct. 9, 2002.
Among his survivors are his wife, Georgiana; sons Dennis and Johnny Jr.; daughters Priscilla Lovotti and Hazel Williams.
He served in the U.S. Army for eight years. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor.
Cremation was at Walton's Crematory.
A memorial service will be in Tacoma, Wash. at a later date.
