Amy Booth, a nurse practitioner with
Reno Heart Physicians in Carson City, has
been named recipient of the American
Academy of Nurse Practitioners' state award
of excellence.
She was nominated for her work at the
University of Nevada, including work as co-
author of "Management
Care Guidelines for Nurse
Practitioners Working in
Family Practice." Booth
also worked on a 2001
law giving Nevada nurse
practitioners the ability to
prescribe controlled substances.
